In order to vote in Ohio you must be registered in your precinct of residence at least 30 days prior to an election. The law requires that a voter be a U.S. citizen who is at least 18 years of age at the time of the election. You may register at libraries, motor vehicle license stations, or with the county board of election. For Montgomery County call 225-5656, Greene County 879-5700 and for Warren County, call 932-4040. Ohio has a closed primary system that requires voters to state their party preference (Democratic, Republican, Independent) at time of registration in order to be able to vote in that party's primary election.
